The "Adventure" Begins!

     I awake in a digital world to find an old NES, a dresser, and a computer. I hop out of the lumpy bed and walk towards the computer. I begin to find a life that isn't mine. My face and memory is the same. My heart begins to race and I start down a flight of stairs I see to my right.

     In a panic, I nearly fall down the stairs to find a kitchen/living room combo, and an older woman sitting at a table. "Did you sleep OK? The Professor was looking for you". I nod, and as I leave this tiny house, I wonder where that woman sleeps.

     "Who is this professor?" this question kept repeating over and over. in my mind. As I look around, I see two houses and a rather large building is all that this town contains. I walk to a sign, it reads "Pallet Town". Interesting name.

     After an hour I talk to everyone I can find, yet I can't seem to find the professor. I see an exit north of town with a field of quiet green grass. I weigh my options and decide it might be best if I just make a break for it. So I dash towards me escape when suddenly I hear a voice.

     "Hey, wait, don't go out there! That was close!" An old man in a white doctor's coat runs up to me. "Wild Pokémon live in tall grass! Here, come with me!" I follow him hoping he can answer some questions about where I am and why. I enter the large building and hoping to find answers rather than more puzzles.

     Many other men in white coats begin to crowd around and I begin to question my willingness to go with this stranger. He leads me to a young man he identifies as his grandson named Bryan. "When do we get the Pokémon. I have been waiting here forever!" Glad it wasn't just me.

     Oak stands before us and begins speaking, "My name is Professor Charles Oak and I have created this digital world so that humans can interface with these digital mon-". "So you have taken me against my will?" I ask interrupting him. He glares but continues, "today the two of you shall bond with what I call Pokémon and they will be apart of you forever. Please choose from the three I have set aside for you on this eventful day."

     I have first pick according to Oak, maybe if I choose he will tell me more. Three to choose from. One is a water turtle, a fire salamander, and a leaf frog. I decide on the turtle. Maybe he can help me understand more about this world.

     Bryan gets second pick and picks the leaf frog. I see an opportunity to escape with my new friend and am stopped short of the door. "Let's battle!" he yells out. Oak stand by watching stoically. I throw my container on the ground and the fight begins.

What is a Nuzlocke run?

1. I can only capture the first Pokémon I encountered in each new area.
2. If a Pokémon fainted it is considered dead and you release it.

Essentially it's Pokémon on hard mode.
