Fish-Bulb and Tsunami make it through the giant mountain and find our way to Cerulean City, home of Misty and the water gym. I rush to the Pokemon Hospital and look at who I have left. Tsunami and Fish-Bulb. Tsunami nods, and Fish-bulb.. well he just flops. A valiant effort my feathered friend. RIP Flappers.
I see a path north because I don't feel ready to match up with Misty yet when suddenly I hear a voice call out to me. "Hey Glenn!" Bryan appears. "Still hanging out around here? I just caught a bunch of Pokemon. Let me try them out on you!" The battle is swift, nearly knocking out Tsunami, but we prevail.
After the battle, Bryan looks at his fainted Pokémon and laughs. They all spring back up and go back to their pokeballs. Why do his Pokémon live while mine die? He tries to taunt me even after defeat..
but suddenly Fish-Bulb starts to glow
I bet it's some giant orange fish... woo hoo.
This is the best thing ever.
By this time he had already ran away and it was time to take on Nugget Bridge. I plowed through the 6 trainers and earned a hefty $5000 reward. I see a sign that says "Bill's house ahead".
I found this little fella on the way
Daisy within the next couple battles on the way to Bill's would be invaluable. Taking on Hikers and other trainers becoming powerful enough to take on Misty. Before that though, we go to Bill's house.
So which is it?
If you say so.. You want me to what?
I guess that's OK.
In that case..
I ask Bill about everything he knows. He hits me with a lot of information. "You were chosen from many hundreds of people and if you fail.. another will take your place. Same world, same rules, same game. You have to keep playing otherwise you will lose." "So it is all just one big game." "Exactly. You have to keep going."
I hear Bryan will be there. I must keep in contact with him.
Bill hands me a ticket for Vermilion City's premier cruise liner the S.S. Anne. A very exclusive event for all people within Kanto. I have a VIP Pass. Here I come Bryan.
